About Kathy

“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do and liking how you do it.”- Maya Angelou

Kathy Pechan’s first college degree was in food and nutrition. While she loved that field, later in life, she obtained her master’s degree in social work. From there, her social work career has been in home health and in mental health. Kathy has worked with clients who have mental health concerns including trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and personal transitions. Kathy has worked both with adults and adolescents.

Therapy is difficult for the clients but rewarding. By taking the time to understand our emotional challenges, we can begin to understand how our pasts have worked in creating the person we are today. We can also understand how we put the pieces of our life together and how and why we respond to stressors. Everybody responds differently. No response is wrong but some responses are not healthy. I can help guide you to  an understanding of how to move forward in a healthy way. I look forward to helping you move toward a better future.

In her free time, Kathy loves taking walks in nature, reading and catching up with friends.

My Passion

When people experience trauma or severe life sterssors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is to bring healing to people who have been through those experiences. I help my clients find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.

My Goals

I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities as a means to healing. My goal is to look at the whole person to aid in improving quality of life and increasing connection.

My Professional Standards

It is important to me that you know how valuable our interactions are. I follow strict ethical practices to ensure privacy in our sessions.
